We’re looking for an experienced, high-calibre Asset Manager to join the Amsterdam-based team of our client. You’ll be part of a young, dynamic team, working alongside colleagues from all over the world. You’ll report to our Country Director Netherlands, as you help build and consolidate their position in the real estate market.

This is a brand-new role, starting from the ground up, so there’s an exceptional opportunity to build and shape your own position. You’ll be responsible for asset management strategy and lease and property management. You’ll drive the management of our premium asset portfolio while making great connections and building our local and national relationships.

Working at this company

Like most people in Europe right now, you’ll be working from home until it’s considered safe to return to work. Following this, your home base will be our office in Amsterdam’s Zuidas, where there are fast public transport links across the city and beyond. We’ll equip you with a state-of-the-art technology package that helps you keep in touch, wherever you are. That doesn’t mean we need you 24/7. We expect you’ll work hard and also that you’ll need some downtime. Respect for your personal life is key to keeping our team happy and our batteries charged.

What you’ll do

•    Implement a sustainable asset management strategy for existing and future assets driven by effective lease management
•    Challenge and put forward a recommendation for the annual property management budget for each asset as the initial part of the overall business plan to the Head of SP&A (Strategy, Planning & Analysis)
•    Evaluate property and review financial projections
•    Underwrite all asset management reports
•    Approve commercial terms of leases. Be responsible for converting these commercial terms into contractual leases
•    Track the risk criteria for each asset, spot red flags and inform the management team of any warning signals
Deliver insights through market intelligence. You’re skilled at translating data into meaningful reports that add value to them.
•    Look for and exploit opportunities to add value in our portfolio and asset management performance
•    Manage all lettings, renewals, rent reviews, lease surrenders and associated capital expenditures
•    Integrate remodelling, redevelopments and extensions into the business plan. You’ll work with the development and finance teams to control and monitor this as part of the business plan
•    Build and maintain warm and productive direct relationships with occupiers
•    Build a great network of regional and national consultants and colleagues
•    Select and manage outsourced expertise
•    Lead and manage a small team to get great results

What you’ll bring

•    Eight years’ experience in logistics and industrial asset management. You’re used to working in a corporate environment, you have an excellent track record and can demonstrate how and where you’ve added value
•    An in-depth knowledge of the last mile real estate realm. You’ll understand the market and tenants and be able to spot and act on opportunities
•    Your ability to work in, and create, professional workflows
•    Your creativity. You’re able to skilfully combine tried-and-tested methods with innovative new solutions
•    Your head for numbers. You can validate valuations and forward-looking financial projections
•    Great leadership skills. You measure success not just in terms of your own performance, but in what you do to lead and inspire others. You’re a capable and motivational manager with proven results
•    Your communication skills as a Dutch native speaker, plus fluency in English
•    Your education in a relevant university degree
•    Attention to detail. In this role, you’ll be monitoring loan performance, data, delinquencies and collection
•    Your head for data. You’ll be able to digitize and track new data. You’ll have great analytical, financial and negotiating skills.

We offer an opportunity you simply won’t find anywhere else. They are prime for explosive growth, and as one of the founding members, you can be there on the ground.
